To support hygienic lifestyle of village residents in Asem Kumbang Village, Kamipang District, Katingan Regency, KMP and local village government built over 100 bathrooms for its residents.
"We have built 104 bathrooms in each of the residents' house, this activity also promotes the Katingan Regency Government program which proclaimed that starting 2019 there will be no more toilets or latrines on the banks of river," said Asem Kumbang Village Head, Rahdahlan. "This activity, which took place from 2019 to 2020, used budget from village fund and aid funds from Katingan Mentaya Project," he explained.
"We did this to make the community residents aware of the importance of hygienic lifestyle so that the residents will are always healthy and strong, especially during pandemic," he said. Local residents welcomed this program as it made it easier for them to do their activities, as going to the river is no longer needed. "On behalf of Asem Kumbang Village Government, I am very grateful to Katingan Mentaya Project for their assistance in various development programs in our village, and it is very beneficial for the residents," said Rahdahlan
