In his remarks, the Commander greatly appreciated the concern of Katingan Mentaya Project to the community around the project especially during the pandemic. Furthermore, the Commander said forest and land fire prevention is quite vulnerable and extremely risky work. "The members of community-based fire fighters must receive protection, especially protection from exposure to Covid-19 outbreak by vaccination," he said.

"After the activity in this place, we can replicate similar activities in other places, let's always be disciplined in carrying out health protocols to break the chain of the harmful Covid-19 virus transmission, especially in Central Kalimantan Province," he added.

On the same occasion General Manager of Katingan Mentaya Project, Taryono Darusman explained as currently entering the dry season where forest and land fires are prone to occur, preparation for forest and land fires prevention is necessary. “Community-based fire fighters must be prioritized to receive the vaccine for protection. This is very important so that the fire fighters is ready to go out and patrol” said Taryono. Meanwhile the Head of the Kotawaringin Timur Regency, H. Halikinor positively welcome the activities, he also expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance of Katingan Mentaya Project. “I have the same vision and mission as Katingan Mentaya Project, which is to encourage the community, especially community members of Kotawaringin Timur to jointly protect the forest and do sustanaible farming”
