Dr. Trechia has been a dedicated physician at Baun Bango Health Centre since 2019, serving the local community for approximately four years. Her days can be a whirlwind of activity, moving between the General Clinic, the In-patient Department, and the Poly Clinic, all while overseeing the Puskesmas' operations and administrative tasks.

The core activities of the Puskesmas run from 8 AM to 12 PM, but the team is always on standby of course, particularly for the emergency room and the maternity ward, both of which operate around the clock.

Dr. Trechia being deeply committed to her work, taking particular pride in the benefits the health projects brought to the village and neighborhood. The Floating Posyandu program, in particular, has made a significant impact by providing essential medicines for Posbindu activities, addressing the community's limitations in human resources, facilities, equipment, and medication. The program has also increased the number of patients coming in for health checks, which has facilitated early disease screenings within the community.

One aspect of the community health initiatives that Dr. Trechia found particularly effective was the way RMU appealed to the communities. They attracted people by offering door prizes, such as groceries, and conducting comprehensive health checks. These checks covered conditions like hypertension and cholesterol for all community members, not just those with a history of these illnesses, and provided complete medicinal supplies.

Dr. Trechia was genuinely impressed with the health projects, from their methods and systems to the organization and training of cadres. The provision of necessary medicines has been a significant boon. Her motivation extended beyond achieving high targets and reporting monthly achievements to the agency; she is driven by a genuine desire to see the villagers benefit and improve their overall health. Enjoying her work immensely, she is supported wholeheartedly by her family despite the time-consuming nature of her job, given the distances between the villages.

Looking ahead, Dr. Trechia harbors hopes for more comprehensive health examinations, including screenings for diseases/conditions like cataracts and VIA, in addition to the non-communicable diseases (NCSs) already covered by the Posbindu program. She’s also deeply concerned about environmental issues, emphasizing the importance of taking care of the environment. She hopes for a reduction in air pollution caused by haze and for flooding to reduce and eventually cease. Additionally, she’s advocated for the creation of healthy latrines to reduce river pollution, noting that many villages in Kamipang have latrines directly in the river, which compromises cleanliness.

Throughout her time at Baun Bango Health Centre, Dr. Trechia's unwavering dedication and passion for her work had made a tangible difference in the community's health and wellbeing. Her family's support and her commitment to both her patients and the environment underscored her holistic approach to healthcare and community service.
