This activity, was not only to provide routine health services to communities but also to provide basic medical check-up.

Katingan Mentaya Project Public Health Specialist, Bellini Simangunsong, said that the Floating Posyandu which provides health services for the elderly and adults is held twice a year, once every six months and at this time coincides with the post-flood. "We provide free health check-ups for for 5 days, from 24 September to 2 October 2021 in 5 villages, namely Galinggang Village, Tampelas Village and Telaga Village in Kamipang District and Tumbang Bulan Village and Perigi Village in Mendawai District, Katingan Regency," said Bellini.
She explained that in floating posyandu, the following services are provided: checking up uric acid, cholesterol, and blood sugar. "However, in the floating posyandu, they can also consult doctor and/or health workers for any other health issues," she added. According to Bellini, the most common issues during the examination were cholesterol problems, and post-flood diseases that villagers complained about were diarrhea.
