Bapinang Hilir Laut Village Government signed their MoU with Katingan Mentaya Project on September 9, 2021.
The signing activity held at the village hall, and was attended by Bapinang Hilir Laut Village members, Community Empowerment Institute, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders, and project representatives.

Bapinang Hilir Laut Village Head, Kadriansyah said that this activity evaluates what has been carried out by Bapinang Hilir Laut Village for last 3 years of partnership with the project. "The First MoU with the project began in 2019 and ended in 2021, and we will continue with the second MoU starts in 2022 until 2024," said Kadriansyah. He explained, in 3 years of partnership with the project the village has procured crossing boat (kelotok) or ferry, then in 2020 the village rehabilitated village bridges and village hall, and the project also supports village education by providing incentive for pro bono teachers.
"In the second partnership, we plan to rehabilitate some of main village roads, obviously our partnership with the project is very beneficial for our village interests," explained Kadriansyah.
